“We booked a Small Group Van 8-12 people and got a fully loaded bus 46 people instead. Bus ride up to vantage point for 30 minutes, then back to Flam. Up and back in less than two hours, no narration or history, driver seemed unconcerned and focused on getting us up and back as quick as possible. Absolutely horrible tour.”
A half-day glacier hike on Austdalsbreen from Styggevatnet, with a RIB boat ride, crampons, safety gear, and optional hot chocolate.
“It was our first time on a glacier and we enjoyed a lot this excursion, in spite of not ideal weather conditions (wind and rain). However, the guides provided us with a lot of technical security instructions so we felt quite confident and secured. Also they gave us many information about the glacier and its formation and evolution, which were quite interesting. The walk on the glacier was funny and at the end there was also a nice surprise...................hot chocolate!!! Very recommended for everyone!”

“Great views of the glacier. The walkway is gravel and does have a pretty good incline there. Wear layers as you will shed some during the day. If you want to take the troll car - order days ahead because there were none available when we got there. The complete hike (to/fro) took us 2 hours with brief stops. The guide gave us some history but I would have enjoyed more. It was just a lovely day.”
